Los Angeles Dodgers LLC has won approval to market its media rights for sale, but current licensee Fox Sports Net West 2 LLC is seeking a second opinion on the decision, the Deal Pipeline reported yesterday. Bankruptcy Judge Kevin Gross signed an order on Tuesday approving the marketing procedures for the Major League Baseball team after a two-day hearing on Dec. 7 and Dec. 8, court papers said. Through the amended marketing procedures, the Dodgers seek to license the rights to telecast roughly 150 preseason and regular season games each year beginning with the 2014 MLB season. The licensing deal would have at least a five-year term. Fox Sports appealed the order on Tuesday to the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware
